Camping Witch Turnaround - Alchemy Trails, a personal project

I am pleased to introduce my latest personal project - Alchemy Trails!

I wanted to start a new project that demonstrates some of the skills I've learnt in industry. This is me creating a production ready character turnaround for a fictional game.

In this game you follow Nisha, a modern witch in her mid 20s. After feeling burnout from an early career in the Pharmaceutical Potion business, our protagonist decides to go off the grid to Alchemy Trails, in the hopes of rediscovering herself and her true passions. She does this by camping and foraging in the wilderness to try and make more holistic potions for a smaller community.

I hope to develop her story further and introduce you to more props and characters, but for now: meet Nisha!

Special thanks to my good friend and colleague Riya Naqvi for coming up with the name of this game and the character, as well as giving amazing and valuable feedback! Plus Tom Street, for giving me advice on the logo :) You're both the best!

Outfit variants. During this stage I addressed my main feedback, which was that from the initial sketches, you couldn't tell she was a witch at first glance. Hopefully with the addition of patterns and hats, it is more obvious.

Narrowed it down to my 3 faves and tried to flesh them out a bit further. I actually designed the backpack first, so I needed to make sure that the character looked like they could own that bag.
